Overview
Detailed below are some of the miscellaneous projects I worked on as well as a short summary of what it was about.
Detailed below are some of the miscellaneous projects I worked on as well as a short summary of what it was about.
This project was done for the module CS4249: Phenomena and Theories of Human-Computer Interaction. It has a heavy emphasis on quantitative UX research, namely carrying out experiments and seeing whether the results are statistically significant.
I was the team lead in a group of 6 members, helping out with designing the various components on Figma and implementing them on NextJs. We had to choose user task for the project, design improvements and implement an experiment to test those improvements. We chose the act of paying phone bill via the slightly dated AXS e-station website. Ultimately, most of our design changes were improvements that were statistically significant.
This project gave me a first taste in testing statistical significance with JMP and exposed me to concepts such as doing ANOVA tests, interaction effects and more. It also strengthened my understanding of within and between subject experiment design. Special thanks to my team, Charmayne, Chester, Eugene, Phoebe and Hangzhi who were all very talented and a pleasure to work with.
More details of our project can be seen in embedded slides below.
We took part in the SIA App Challenge Case comp 2019. We aimed to enhance the On ground experience with our luggage courier solution Lugfree Luxury
We underwent a research phase, doing research on the problem space, as well as carrying out a survey to identify pain points amongst travellers.
From the survey, we found out that luggage inconvenience was a big pain point and tackling it would lead to a better flying experience and lead to more people upgrading to premium economy.
We mapped out the user journey using the insights we have gained as a basis for inserting luggage courier services at key points in the existing user journey itself.
We also produced high fidelity prototype using figma, envisioning that the service is an expansion of the existing SIA app at the time. I personally collaborated with my teammates on the concept, figma prototype, as well as video for the case competition

I worked alongside Yip HaoZheng and Yew Mun Hing to create the brand identity for BoulderActive, an annual Bouldering competition organised by NUS Climbing Club and NUS Climbing Team. This includes the logo as well as T shirt design for the event.
I had to work within the confines of what the sponsors want while trying to achieve a good design that climbers would want to wear in climbing gyms.

I did the brand identity for Tiamat, a company specialising in value for money audio products. This was one of the clients I had during my stint as a freelance graphic designer.

I dabbled in After Effects in order to create this logo animation, I did this logo redesign to practice some branding skills, at the time it was still using the old logo. I also wanted to try learning Adobe After Effects. Logo animation can be seen below.
